Muskegon Charter Boat Association
The purpose of this Association is to promote the Muskegon area charter boat and sport fishing industry by:
1. Providing a coordinated voice on issues affecting the Charter Boat Industry.
2. Developing liaisons with state and federal fishery management agencies to insure the maintenance and the growth of the local fishery.
3. Cooperating with local and state tourism organizations to develop action plans to promote and market Muskegon area charter boat fishing.
4. Informing and educating members on issues affecting the Charter Boat Industry.
5. Providing members a forum to discuss and resolve opportunities and problems in the Charter Boat Industry.
6. Working with local citizens and groups for protection, preservation, and sport utilization of the Great Lakes fishery.
7. Setting standards of conduct to insure the integrity and quality of the Muskegon Charter Boat Industry.

Michigan Charter Boat Association
The Michigan Charter Boat Association represents over 600 professional captains that serve over 100 ports in Michigan. As one of Michigan's largest recreational organizations, member captains operate fishing charters on the Great Lakes, River Guides on Michigan's thousands of miles of steams and rivers, Sail boat charters out of many Michigan ports of call, Scuba Dive charters in Michigan's shipwreck dive preserves, and scenic cruises exploring the beauty of Michigan's shoreline, lighthouses, or a lake vacation adventure. These businesses contribute to Michigan's tourism economy and are vital to the region. Michigan Charter Boat Association Captains and their vessels meet all state and federal laws.
